Today we've visited the London Dungeon and the wax museum of Madame Tussauds, also in London.

The London Dungeon is a very popular tourist attraction which recreates various gory and macabre historical events in a grimly comedic "gallows humour" style. attempting yo make them appealing to younger audiences, It uses a mixture of live actors, special effects and rides.
Madame Tussauds is a wax museum in London with branches in a number of major cities. It was founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. Madame Tussaud is also a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and famous murderers.

It's Pancake Day!!

In most traditions the day is known for the eating of pancakes before the start of Lent. Pancakes are eaten as they are made out of the main foods available: sugar, fat, flour and eggs, whose consumption was traditionally restricted during the ritual fasting associated with Lent.
RECIPE (for 8 pancakes)
- 1 large egg or 1 egg and one yolk.
- 280 ml of milk
- 110 gr of plain flour (4 heaped dessertspoons)
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- a pinch of salt
Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the middle. Break in the egg (and yolk, if using) and add a pinch of salt and a splash of the milk. Whisk the egg, gradually incorporating the flour, to make a smooth cream. Whisk in the rest of the milk and the melted butter.

Yesterday we tried to guess the lyrics of the song I still haven't found what I'm looking for by U2 and, at the same time, we practiced the present perfect. There were some very interesting options... But here you are the real lyrics and a live performance by the band.

Do you want to know more about ice sports? Do you want to know about the rules and the history of curling, bobsleigh or skeleton? Well, have a look at this post.
Skeleton is a fast winter sliding sport in which an individual person rides a small sled down a frozen track while lying face down.
Bobsleigh is a winter sport in which teams of two or four make timed runs down narrow, twisting, banked iced tracks in a gravity-powered sled.
