Rugby is a team contact sport born in England. It took the name from the rules of football developed at Rugby School in the nineteenth century. It is very popular in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and also in former British colonies (Australia, New Zealand and South Africa) and in France. In April 2010, 116 nation unions were recognized by the International Rugby Board, the federal association that regulates the sport in the world.
